#235 August 2017

20 August 2017

Did you know that August 1 is Girlfriend's day? With that in mind, we've got a delightful Scene for casefile #235 that perfectly celebrates the joy of girl-friendship by Art Impressions.

Girls just wanna have fun - together

I rotated the sketch 90°, and worked on white pearl card stock.

This is the third attempt at this layout.  I made a very colourful background using all 5 colours but hated it, so opted for the more muted less fussy look of this background to assemble all the fun elements for these cheeky bridesmaids layout.

We are not your typical bridesmaids. We are your women of awesomeness. It's like having several human glitter balls at your side for the whole of your big day

Bits of the old layout were torn up and used as layering behind the photographs.

EVIDENCE

  • solid white cardstock background (possibly?)
  • polka dots - spatter dots
  • flowers - two large and several smaller
  • puffy stickers - 'fun time'
  • bling- crystal swirls
  • people images
  • something transparent - 'together' in a mason jar on its side and small glass art pebbles

TESTIMONY

Topic: Celebrate girlfriends.

Presentation: Circular journaling spot - coffee stain ring, embellished with silver transfer foil.

Thank you for looking, I read all your comments,

hugs

debbie

Third time's the charm when it comes to your background work. It looks great. I love how all the challenge colours are on there but the white cardstock is still visible. Good idea using the scraps of discarded work as matting for the photos. I love the butterfly stamp. The jewels are perfect for a girlfriends/ wedding theme. Beautiful take on the CSI challenge. Thank you for joining us.
